👍 COMMUNICATION MONITOR RESULTS: Diversity and inclusion, empathic leadership, CommTech, the quality of consulting, strategic issues, and best practice are highlighted in The European Communication Monitor 2022. ❌ TWITTER DEAL OFF: Elon Musk has backed out of his offer to buy Twitter citing due diligence failures. It sets the stage for a legal battle to recover the default fee of $1 billion and compensation for Twitter’s loss in shareholder value since the deal was announced in April. 🌳 ORGANIC VIEWS: Engagement with a LinkedIn post in the first hours after publication significantly increase its reach in the newsfeed algorithm according to an experiment by Releasd. This can be achieved by a small network of individuals commencing on the post although falsified engagement is banned by the platform. Source Richard Benson.
🤖 AI SUMMARIES: Google Documents now automatically generate a summary of a document. The tool uses a machine learning model to generate a one or two sentence natural language description of the content of the document. Spotted Stephen Waddington.
👥 FACEBOOK GROUPS: Channels are a new tool in Facebook Groups that enable users to connect with each other in an informal conversation. The tool is available to admins to create focussed discussions within a group. Spotted Alan Morrison.

📅 WORLD PR DAY: The annual festival on 16 July will feature a #MyPRStory practitioner conversation, crowdsourced PR encyclopaedia, and two Twitter Spaces conversations with professional organisations and media around the world.
