🚩 DISINFORMATION DOZEN: 12 influencers are responsible for anti-vax misinformation according to the Center for Countering Digital Hate. They have a combined following of 59 million across Facebook, Google and Twitter. 95% of COVID-19 misinformation was not removed. Spotted Sarah Waddington.
🤑 MARKETING BUDGETS UP: UK marketing budgets have grown for the first time since Q4 2019 according to the latest IPA Bellwether Report. Strong vaccination uptake and the end of virus containment measures supported recovery expectations. PR, media, and direct marketing budgets have all increased. Spotted Stephen Waddington.

🎬 AUTOMATIC VIDEO MARKUP: YouTube has added automatic chapter marking for uploaded clips. It is intended to enable users to navigate to a specific section of a video clip. Spotted Alan Morrison.

👥 FACEBOOK GROUPS: Facebook has added new community management tools for groups including including recognition for community experts and new ways to attract members based on their expertise. 👨💼️ BUSINESS PROFILES: Twitter business profiles are readying launch with a new 'Convert to Professional' option spotted on the platform. 📱 TIKTOK BOOM: TikTok has hit three billion total installs globally according to Sensor Tower. It’s the first non-Facebook app to reach this milestone with no sign of growth slowing. Spotted Andrew Bruce Smith.
